On January 15, a 43 year old man was charged with impaired driving "An elderly Oshawa couple are still assessing damage to their home after a driver fleeing police careened onto the property Wednesday night, sending heavy concrete blocks crashing into the house.
“All we heard was a great big bang,” Stephen Jebbett said Thursday as he stood outside his parents’ home on Oshawa Boulevard South.
An Oshawa man faces several charges including drunk driving in connection with the incident, which began when a cop saw a speeding Honda cruise through an amber light at Harmony Road and King Street East at about 10:30 p.m., Durham police said.
The driver pulled over for police but then sped away, eventually hopping a curb and crashing into two large blocks -- they consisted of bricks encased in concrete which a worker on scene Thursday said probably weighed about 300 lbs. each -- sending them into the bungalow."

World News: Over the past week, I'm guessing you have seen a lot of news about the attacks on Charlie Hedbo in Paris. Yes this is important, but there isn't enough coverage on Africa, Nigeria in particular.
did you know that 2000 people were slaughtered in Nigeria by a terror group called Boko Haram; the same group that kidnapped all those girls in the summer which I'm sure you heard about. (#BringBackOurGirls)

my favourite past time would have to be art or soccer. I play soccer for a rep team in Oshawa as a centre midfielder. My season starts in April but we currently practice once a week for 3 hours.
